Day Options at Whyalla!
Bedford Day Options opened in Whyalla in April 2021. This brand new centre was purpose built after extensive consultation with the community of Whyalla on what they required. The feedback from the community was overwhelming in favour of a ‘fun, engaging and empowering space where people could feel safe, learn transferable life skills and enjoy the company of others, both at in-centre and while exploring new experiences in our regional communities.
Whyalla Day Options offers many new and fun experiences with a fantastic art studio, cooking studio, creative craft studio, a sensory dance and music studio and an outdoor shaded pergola area to relax in, and enjoy a barbeque.
The latest, and arguably the most exciting program on offer is the running of the Bedford Gardens (in partnership with Whyalla Council). Clients have been given the opportunity to develop their gardening skills by clearing, preparing and planting many varieties of tasty and nutritious vegetables. The clients enjoy the paddock to plate experience of preparing the soil, then planting and harvesting their own food, then cooking it in Bedford Day Options Kitchen.

Whyalla Day Day Options programs run between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday.
