We are still adhering to government safety guidelines, but for the most part it’s business as usual at all Bedford sites. Across the border our Victorian residential clients are doing well as they look forward to the easing of restrictions there.
In response to these changes, we have now issued an updated version of Bedford’s COVID-19 Response Plan. The Plan factors in improvements to our processes and safety practices and as always is based on revised SA Health guidelines. As part of this release, new Emergency PPE Kits will be sent to all Bedford sites. Our teams have worked hard packing and preparing these kits which include three masks, three safety glasses, six disposable gloves and hand sanitiser. The kits will be utilised in the event of a visitor, staff and/or contractor who presents with COVID-19 at a site.
In other news, Bedford no longer qualifies for government subsidies in South Australia due to our strong economic recovery and the changes to the eligibility criteria.
Bedford has recently trained 48 staff as COVID Marshals to ensure we have dedicated officers at several of our sites- particularly those which have cafes or dining areas such as Gepps Cross and Mount Gambier.
We also recently partnered with SA Health to pack masks and information packs for South Australian Police frontline patrols on the South Australian border and at Adelaide Airport. The team are continuing to pack 500 of these packs daily.
For any additional information or questions, the internal Bedford COVID-19 hotline continues to be available for support on 0429 135 448 or 0429 124 648 (Mon to Fri 8:30am – 5.00pm) or email: email@example.com.
