Christmas Appeal
Gift joy, choice and more opportunities for people with disability this Christmas!

It gives me great pleasure on behalf of everyone at Bedford to welcome Maggie Dowling, who has commenced today in her new role as our Chief Executive Officer.

Maggie brings significant experience and a great deal of business acumen, having worked in senior leadership roles within the private sector, state and local government and the not-for-profit sector.

Most recently, she was General Manager of City Services at the City of Playford where, among her many responsibilities, she managed community development and inclusion, including disability programs.

We believe Maggie is an exceptional fit for our organisation, combining her outstanding corporate governance and leadership skills with a genuine passion for Bedford's business and community development.

She is also passionate about caring for others. She is a Board member of St John Ambulance SA and, for the past 10 years, Maggie and her family have provided respite care to a family through Interchange SA.

Maggie comes to lead Bedford at a pivotal time in our history. We have grown significantly over the past few years, and we are now changing lives for more people in more locations around Australia than ever before.

However, the National Disability Insurance Scheme continues to drive enormous change throughout the sector and we must ensure Bedford remains at the forefront of that transformation.

We are therefore delighted to have someone of Maggie's calibre as our new CEO.
