Bedford has been reviewing its national operations to ensure we are well placed to manage the challenges of the reforming disability sector. With the need to continue to invest in NDIS reforms, and tough economic challenges generally, we have made the difficult decision to cease operations in Victoria.
As a result, Bedford will wind-down HiCity and no longer be a provider of Employment Services to people living with disability in Victoria - the expected closure date is 28 February 2020.
The well-being and future of our HiCity Staff and Supported Employees has been a key consideration in the difficult decision to exit Victoria. We are committed to supporting all affected Staff and Clients and have a strong and supportive transition plan in place. This includes offering their services to a number of great disability service providers, within close proximity to HiCity, and providing those affected with options to help them make informed choices about their future.
This decision will mean that Bedford can focus on strengthening operations to support our 1300 Clients in our heartland, in South Australia.
