Business Support and Billing Team Leader

Provide leadership and mentoring to a small team of 2 undertaking operational NDIS billing and reporting tasks.

About the Role

Due to a change in billing systems, a full-time, permanent team leader role has been created within the NDIS Billings team. This role is located at our Panorama site and provides leadership, support, and training to the two Business Support Officers, while ensuring timely and accurate billing of all client services and supports.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • navigation of systems including CRM, Excel, and Business Central
  • providing a range of reports using different systems, including Excel
  • management of billing queries and complaints
  • identification of opportunities for continuous improvement
  • liaising with a range of internal and external stakeholders including operations managers, support coordinators, clients, plan managers, and families

About You

You will have previous experience in a role providing leadership or guidance to others and will be looking for an opportunity to grow and develop those skills. Strong billing systems and Excel knowledge are essential, as well as an ability to work in ambiguity, and problem solve.

Other skills and qualities include:

  • previous experience and knowledge in billing (NDIS experience desirable)
  • attention to detail
  • effective and efficient decision making and conflict management
  • intermediate to advanced skills and experience in MS products including Excel
  • strong administrative and organisational skills

For this role the following documents must be provided prior to a formal offer of employment with Bedford Phoenix Incorporated:

  • a National Police Clearance (no older than six months)
  • driver’s licence
  • NDIS worker screening clearance, or other NDIS approved clearance to work in the disability sector
  • evidence of right to work in Australia
  • evidence of FULL vaccination with a TGA-approved COVID-19 vaccine or an acceptable exemption*
