About the Role
Due to the continued growth of our respected organisation, a new Payroll Officer position has become available. The position is being offered on a permanent, part time basis for three days a week. There is the ability to negotiate your preferred days of the week to work, with the exception of Tuesday which will not be available.
This role reports to the Payroll Manager and is located in Panorama. It works as part of a small team to process up to 1,800 pays on a weekly cycle.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Calculate and process the weekly pay run using Chris21 / iChris
- Accurate and efficient input of new starters
- Interpret 8 Awards and 3 enterprise agreements
- Calculate entitlements, tax rates, superannuation, and termination payments
- Assist and resolve payroll queries
About You
To be successful in this role you will be an experienced payroll officer with a keen eye for detail who is looking for the next challenge in their career within a supportive and respectful team. You will have previous exposure to a large payroll system such as Chris21, as well as intermediate Excel skills.
Other knowledge, skills and attributes include:
- Ability to learn quickly and take on feedback
- The ability to work to strict deadlines and contribute to a small team
- Strong appreciation of the importance of compliance and privacy
For this role, the following documents must be provided prior to a formal offer of employment with Bedford.
- A National Police Clearance (no older than six months old)
- NDIS worker screening clearance, or other NDIS approved clearance to work in the disability sector
- Evidence of right to work in Australia
- 100 points of identification
