About the Role

This newly created position can be performed from a number of Bedford’s metropolitan sites and reports to the Chief Operating Officer of Bedford Social Enterprises. It is a strategic role that will be responsible for creating frameworks and executing activities to assist Bedford in achieving its social impact goals that can also be replicated and adapted to support other organisations in reaching their own goals and targets.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • strategy development and implementation
  • project management and execution
  • stakeholder engagement
  • impact measurement and reporting
  • social enterprise model development


About You

This role is suited to a person with a genuine interest and passion for creating opportunities and processes to increase diversity, equity, access, and inclusion in the workforce. Experience and an interest in disability from an education and training, social work or employment supports background is desired, as is the ability to use a co-designing approach to map processes. The successful candidate for this role does not necessarily need to meet every requirement but must have a growth mindset with the ability to develop into the role.

Other knowledge, skills and attributes include:

  • a qualification in disability, social work, business, psychology, operations, education or other related field is desired, or equivalent experience
  • solid business acumen and understanding of project management
  • understanding of employment supports and pathways to employment
  • experience in people focused operations
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills

For this role, the following documents must be provided prior to a formal offer of employment with Bedford.

  • A National Police Clearance (no older than six months old)
  • NDIS worker screening clearance, or other NDIS approved clearance to work in the disability sector
  • Evidence of right to work in Australia
  • 100 points of identification
