WHS & Quality Coordinator, Mt Gambier and Millicent
The Role:
Reporting to the WHS & Quality Manager, the WHS & Quality Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing WHS & Quality systems and operational processes to ensure safety requirements, quality assurance and continuous improvement systems are followed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing current systems and processes, ensuring they are in line with relevant legislative requirements
- Undertaking audits and inspections to ensure compliance with required standards and internal procedures
- Conduct risk assessments of plant and machinery
- Develop and review task risk assessments and Safe Operating Proceudres
- Conduct / facilitate incident investigations
- Provide training to staff and employees in hazard and risk management
- Ensuring the site complies with all local and statutory regulations
- Development of compliance and quality reports
- Identify and report on areas of noncompliance
- Acquire and maintain management systems knowledge relevant to the workplace and understand all operations and associated hazards and risks
- Monitor, review and improve warehouse management system
- Effective communication with all levels of staff regarding compliance requirements
- Responsible for all Injury Management/Return To Work cases
Essential Criteria:
- Previous experience in WHS and Quality within a manufacturing or production environment
- Formal qualifications in WHS
- Experience in safety management systems (AS4801), quality management systems (ISO 9001:2015) and audits
- Experience in Injury Management/Return To Work
- A solid understanding of safety requirements and legislation
- Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to work autonomously and self-manage
- A current driver’s licence
