Electronic Recycling Australia
Australians discard millions of electrical and electronic goods every year. When these items end up in landfill, they can cause significant soil and water contamination. Most materials found in these items – up to 95 percent – can be reused or recycled.
Electronic Recycling Australia (ERA) is the state’s premier e-waste recycler. It diverts up to 92 percent of electronic waste from landfill through e-waste collection points throughout metropolitan and regional South Australia. There is no other e-recycler of this scale, capacity and capability in SA.
Recycling for large businesses
Electronic waste is banned from landfill in South Australia. Producers, distributors and end-users of IT and other electronic and electrical goods have a responsibility according to the Product Stewardship Act 2011 to ensure these goods are safely and environmentally recycled.
ERA offers a reliable and cost-effective collection service for all electrical and electronic goods. We collect goods, and if required, decommission them to guarantee data security. Full asset capture services are also available.
Our EPA-approved and environmentally compliant facilities recycle all electrical and electronic goods to the highest standards. Detailed compliance reports including Certificates of Recycling and Destruction can be tailored to your specific requirements.
Bounce Back Mattress Recycling
Bounce Back collects and recycles mattresses from councils, businesses and households around South Australia. We use a manual separation method to achieve the highest available level of recovery, diverting a minimum of 75% of mattress components from landfill to recycling streams. This reduces the problematic environmental impact caused by mattresses in landfill. And for every 1.5 tonnes diverted from landfill, two jobs are created.
