Bedford's response to the Advertiser article

29 June - COVID-19 Update

As you are no doubt aware, even though SA has not recorded any community transmissions of COVID-19, the situation is far more precarious interstate and our borders remain closed to five jurisdictions – NSW, WA, NT, ACT and Queensland.

Bedford is adhering to the State Government’s new restrictions to ensure everyone’s wellbeing and safety due to our position as an essential service and disability provider.

These include:

  • Masks now worn by all Balyana staff for the protection of clients. Visitors and staff attending any other Bedford sites must also wear masks in areas where they may come into contact with clients
  • QR code scanning has been set up at all sites and it is mandatory for all staff and visitors (ie, customers, student groups etc) to check in to ensure contact tracing for the government
  • We are also ensuring social distancing and hygiene measures are taken at all sites as part of our COVID-19 Response Plan (available via the button below)
  • If the situation escalates, Bedford has a Work From Home policy for all staff, but for now it is business as usual

Apart from these communications to all staff, we are sending letters home to clients and their families, updating our website, providing information on our social media channels and updating our digital noticeboard at Panorama.

Remember if you have any flu-like symptoms, please stay home, get a COVID test and notify our team. Our dedicated COVID helpline can be found below and SA Health’s is 1800 253 787.
