There are still no known cases of COVID-19 across any of our sites.

Last week, Bedford’s eligibility for JobKeeper was confirmed, a $130 billion Australian government initiative to help keep more Australians in jobs and support businesses affected by the significant economic impact of COVID-19. All eligible staff and supported employees who provided signed forms are now receiving JobKeeper.

The JobKeeper Payment will give Bedford much needed financial support during this challenging period, assisting us to retain our workforce and leave us in a stronger position after COVID-19 restrictions are lifted and the Australian economy slowly recovers.

To ensure our Bedford team are across JobKeeper and what it means, 900 JobKeeper workbooks have been created and distributed. These workbooks provide relevant information about the payment along with useful links and supports.

In addition, we are also developing a series of ‘Learning from Home’ workbooks for our team members who are choosing to self-isolate during this time. The first of these workbooks will be distributed by mail this week, providing relevant information, tips and supports for looking after wellbeing during what can be a stressful and anxiety provoking time.

We continue to keep the health and safety of our staff and clients as our highest priority, and our commitment to excellent hygiene and enforcing of social distancing protocols has seen a number of our team now returning to work.
