Hospitality

If you love cooking, a career in Bedford’s hospitality team is perfect for you. Bedford offers supported employment in hospitality that will see you creating new recipes, learning new skills and preparing and cooking meals for the Bedford community and local customers.

As a Bedford hospitality team member, you’ll be involved in the daily running of the kitchen, from placing orders with suppliers to organising deliveries and even taking on leadership roles if suitable.

You’ll receive invaluable training and gain experience in:

Bedford’s hospitality teams are based at our three cafes at Panorama, Torrensville and Elizabeth sites that serve both morning tea and lunch to the wider team each day. Landscaping & grounds maintenance

A job with Bedford’s landscaping and grounds maintenance team will see you working in the great outdoors each day. As part of our Adelaide Property and Gardens (APG) team you’ll be working on landscaping and grounds maintenance projects for local councils, commercial developers and private customers.

Your role will see you working in:

  • Horticulture
  • Landscaping
  • Arboriculture
  • Grounds maintenance
  • Revegetation
  • Fencing
  • Slashing
  • Weed control
  • Concreting

As part of the APG team, you’ll develop essential skills in workplace health & safety, customer contact, landscaping, irrigation, plant and equipment use and garden maintenance.

APG has sites across metropolitan and regional South Australia, including Pooraka, Edinburgh, Lonsdale, Mount Gambier, Port Pirie, Port Lincoln and Kadina.

Manufacturing

Do you like building and creating? Bedford Manufacturing create and prepare ready to assemble furniture for Bunnings Australia!

As a key member of Bedford’s manufacturing team, you’ll be:

  • Creating and manufacturing products for the Bedford Furniture range sold in Bunnings stores throughout Australia and New Zealand
  • Processing and contract cutting timber to cut components to size for furniture, bed, wardrobe and kitchen manufacturers throughout Australia
  • Helping to create children’s activity kits which are used at Bunnings stores
  • If you’re based in Kadina or Port Pirie you'll be undertaking work for councils and local businesses

You’ll receive ongoing and extensive training to operate machinery safely and effectively including Giben front loading saws, edgebanders, and point-to-point and flow-through machines.

You can join the Bedford Manufacturing team at our Panorama, Gepps Cross, Kadina, Port Pirie and Mount Gambier sites.

Packaging

At Bedford you can help pack and prepare products for many well-known brands.

From packing show bags for the Royal Adelaide Show, through to 3D printing of dinosaur bones, each week is different and exciting in Bedford’s Packaging team.

As a supported team member in Packaging, you’ll have the opportunity to try your hand in several different areas, including:

  • 3D printing
  • Labelling/de-labelling of wine bottles
  • Packing food and medical products
  • Filling various products through a multi-head weigher
  • Flow wrapping
  • Assembly work and general packing

Bedford offers supported employment in packaging across all our metropolitan and regional sites.

Packaging offers development to its employees in workplace health & safety, assembly, housekeeping, labelling, stores, with advanced duties in pallet movers and minor maintenance.
